[J-Movie] Ooku: The Lady Shogun and Her Men (2010) Review

An epidemic hits Japan that reduces the male population. This leads to a reverse in gender role where women are dominant in society. The most dominant being the shogun who keeps a male harem of beautiful men called ooku. Unoshin Mizuno enters the harem and catches the eye of the new shogun..

Ooku is a picturistic movie with beautiful backdrops in and out of the inner castle. The kimonos wore by the male ooku are colourful and appealing. I particularly liked Horikita Maki, who play Onobu, the girl Mizuno loves and leaves to enter the inner palace. She is beautiful in this movie.
